Ancient Egyptian lore says..

 

When the world was still young & remarkable, an immortal being of immense Wisdom & Creativity emerged.. 

 

They called him Thoth..

 

Humans would take their burning questions & unsolvable problems to him. They would speak for hours, and he would conjure up the wisest & wittiest solutions– without having to utter a word. 

 

Their minds would magically connect to Thoth’s. Merely being in his presence would give people the most astonishing ideas, just like telepathy! 

 

Slowly, word started to spread about his unique powers that could unravel the mysteries of the universe. 

 

‘If you’ve got a problem, Thoth’s got the ultimate solution.’ 

 

People started worshipping him.

 

But often, with fame, comes rivalry.

 

The existence of Thoth meant fierce competition for the old Egyptian Gods. All their devotees had flocked to Thoth’s court. 

 

So, the Gods decided to bring their wrath on Thoth. 

 

In a mighty fit, they beheaded him, & replaced his all-wise head with the head of a bird called Ibis. 

 

No-more head, no-more solutions, no-more Thoth. Or so, they believed.

 

People mourned the loss of Thoth for years. 

 

The old Gods rejoiced in their new-found victory. But soon, their joy turned to dust. 

 

People did not turn back to them. 

 

Even after Thoth, humans could magically conjure up solutions to their problems. Beheading Thoth seemed to have only amplified his reach! Thoth was gone, but his mind was linked to his people forever. 

 

Legend has it, Thoth still roams the Earth today. His legacy- immortal within us. Inspiring us to write, design, & create the most extraordinary realities.
